Gwen wandered through the forest, everything quiet and peaceful out among the trees. It was a beautiful day; for once in a long while there was no rain coming down from the clouds. There wasn't a cloud in the sky at the moment. She had thought, when she awoke that morning, that with no plans with any of her friends, she'd be stuck inside all day with nothing to do. But since the sun was shining today, she decided not to let it go to waste. Instead, she headed out into the forest for a little hike.
As she went deeper into the woods, she felt a little on the tired side, and decided to take a little break. She found a nearby boulder and sat down on it cross legged. It was a warm day, but in the shade, like she was now, it was really nice. She sighed, leaning back for a moment, supporting her weight by placing her hands on the rock behind her. But suddenly she heard the snap of a branch nearby, and looked up quickly, wondering what it was.

A purr-like chuckle fluttered out of a slender boys lungs, his body leaning ever so slightly on a large oak tree. His foot pushing down on yet another twig that happened to lay on the ground awaiting its second death. The liquid drops showering down from the sun, burning onto Jason's pale skin as he stepped though the beams of light. His tennis shoes pushed down on a few more leaves, his figure moving passed a few large rocks and boulders, a faint smell of human on them.
Then his nose winkled and he hissed slightly under his breath, a human scent was extreamly thick the closer he moved to a second of woods. There was a boulder there, one seperate from the others. He felt a connect with this rock but for the fact there was a female sitting on top of his, her hands laying softly on one end to hold up her human bones.
Jason smirked but not before his foot landed onto a twig, a larger one at that. A branch to get into details. He jumpped back, his body freezing up. How could he have been so careless as to have stepped on something like that. He felt a hiss coming up again but instead he sighed, his arms crossing softly across his chest.

Gwen, just barely, heard a sigh come from somewhere among the trees. She shifted on the rock, resting her hands in her lap in front of her, and looking among the tree trunks with curiosity. At first she thought it was just some animal-a deer or something. But the sigh clearly had to come from a human. Or at least, what she thought was a human.
Finally she spotted something-a slender, pale young man standing not too far away. "You really don't need to lurk around like that, you know," She said to him, shifting again so her chin rested on her fist, and her elbow on her knee, "I'm not going to bite you, or anything like that."
She hadn't thought anyone else was out in the forest today. Really, it was a silly thought. It was a lovely day after all; she wouldn't have been the only one to come up with the idea of going for a hike in the woods.

He chuckled at her remark, she had something about her that made him smirk at her words. "You never know now a days. I'm sorry if I scared you, m'lady. I was out on a stroll and, to be perfectly honest, I did not think anyone else was out here but myself."
Stepping farther out from the light shadow he had been resting in, he felt his small smirk shift softly into a smile. His eyes scanned over her body, giving her a look over not just once but twice. He took in a deep breath, letting it out as a sigh. Human.
Then his smile faded and he uncrossed his arms, his left hand rubbing the back of his neck as he spoke. "Pardon me for being blunt but is there a reason you are out here? There are not many people who come out to the woods, with the technology and st..." His voice soften as he went on to rambull, his voice now a mutter and to himself.

"Oh you didn't scare me," She told him, "Just sort of startled me, really, though I guess there's not much of a difference. I didn't think there was anyone else around." She noticed he seemed to speak in an older manner-most teenage boys didn't refer to females as "m'lady."
She took a moment to let her eyes flick over his form, noting that he did the same to her, not once but twice. He was handsome, but she wasn't about to swoon at the sight of him. It was merely something she noticed about him. It took more than a pretty face to impress her.
"I was out for a walk," She informed him when he asked if she had a reason for being out there. "I thought it was too nice a day to be cooped up inside all day. So I figured why not go for a hike?" She could hear him mumbling to himself as she spoke, wondering if he was actually listening.

"It is a lovely day..." He noted with a chuckle, a small smile coming back to his lips. He looked up through a small clearing between two large trees above his head, the suns blinding rays hidden ever so slightly behind a light and thin white cloud who was trying to stay together but just endded up falling apart and dissappearing. Sun came soaking down through the trees just as Jason's eyes went back down on the girl.
Then Jason tapped his forehead with his palm, shaking his head. "Where on Earth are my manors? I am Jason," He fluttered his hand downward as he did a small bow, his eyes always on the girl, "Jason Moore. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance..."
Sure his speak was off, but he felt that a lady should be treated with respect... at least that's what Ken had told him. He acted different than most teenagers but he would have to deal because he was different. Rare. One of a kind. Unique.

"Best in a long time, actually," Gwen muttered, mostly thinking out loud now, "I don't think its been this clear since last spring." She looked up idly as he did the same, watching one small cloud try to form, but just dissipate as it blocked off a few of the sun rays for a brief moment. She thought a few clouds would be nice, actually, the only thing that could make the day nicer. Not the overcast that usually blanketed the sky, just a few big puffy ones.
She looked back at him, and tried very hard not to giggle as he bowed to her. "The pleasure's all mine," She told him with a smile, "I'm Gwen. Gwen Gates." Yep, this guy definitely seemed a little on the old fashioned side. Who went around bowing to girls sitting on boulders in the forest? Not that she disliked it. She thought it gave him a sort of charm that most teenage boys lacked. "So what brings you out here on this fine day?" She asked him, raising an eyebrow.

"Welll..." Jason took in a deep breath, holding it for about ten seconds before releasing it. "My room mates parents died resently and she's not the finest person to be around when her emotions are on the loose." His face went cold for a moment, remembering how he had left Lokki at the house, in the basement as she threw things around. The dirty blonde shivered slightly as color came back into his face.
"You have a beautiful name, Gwen." He said softly as he sat down on the ground, his legs stretched out infront of him. "Though I believe I have heard it elsewhere... Do you go to school around here?" He had a questioning look in his eyes, unable to remember where the name 'Gwen Gates' had come up before. He surely didn't remember her from a class, though there were a good amount of students at this high school.
Laying his body down so his back touched the ground, Jason crossed his arms under his head as a pillow. "I'm pretty sure there was a day in Fall that was almost this clear..."

"Oh," She said. The death of a roommate's parents was not something she'd been expecting him. Of course, she wasn't sure what she was expecting exactly. Just not that. "I'm sorry to hear that," She told him. He seemed to be shaken by it.
Thankfully though, he changed the subject. She didn't really want to talk about something as depressing as death. "Thanks," She said when her name was beautiful. "I've always liked it." She thought it was the only thing good about having the name Guinevere, getting to use the name "Gwen" instead.
"Yeah, I do...I go to Forks High," she told him, "Do you? Or did you?" She couldn't really recall if she'd seen him there or not. But she just might have missed him. She thought about what he said, there being a day this clear in that Fall. "Yeah, maybe. You'd think that I'd remember them better than I do, since there so unusual," She said. A complete break from rain in Forks was always a pleasant, if rare, treat.

He decided to turn the multiple conversations into one, seeing as a good few of them had already endded themselves. He glaced up at her and nodded though the movement was unnoticable with his hands holding his head at a very off angle. "I go to Forks High as well, though I can not recall seeing you..." It might be an age difference, they might just be in two different grades and her name was called out in the hall and that is where he remembered it from.
He closed his eyes, the sun pushing directly down onto his body. He hissed under his breath as he mumbled, rolling over onto his side and then onto his stomach. This weather was beginning to bug him, it was perfect for sleeping in but he felt the need to stay awake and hold converstaion with this human. She seemed worth it.

"I don't recall seeing you, either," Gwen said. She tilted her head to the side, as though she might recognize him from that angle. The more she thought about it, the less she thought she'd actually seen him there ever. Not even passing in the hallways, or on their way out and heading for home, and definitely not in a class. "I'll keep a sharper eye out for you though, now that I know your there." He seemed friendly enough, so why shouldn't she get the chance to at least say hi to him if she passed him by in the halls?
She watched as he maneuvered around on the ground, first lying on his side, and then on his stomach. It wasn't something she normally saw people do-rolling around on the forest floor. Or even just laying down on it. "You look comfortable," She stated with a smirk.
